It’s Thursday and that means it’s time for my five gambling picks for you guys to cash in on.

Last weekend we went 3-2. A nice rebound from the disastrous 1-4 weekend before last, but we’re still only sitting at 9-11 for the season.

We’ll be back over .500 by Sunday morning because these five picks are golden.

1) USC (-3.5) vs. Washington State:

USC hasn’t looked like fire throughout the season, but I’m not sold on the idea that the Cougars of Washington State have enough talent on the field to keep this game within four points. Take the Trojans.

2) Penn State (-18) vs. Indiana:

Penn State screwed us all last week when they failed to cover against Iowa. I like the Nittany Lions to bounce back this week against the Hoosiers, and cruise to victory by at least 19.

3) Clemson (-7.5) vs. Virginia Tech:

Clemson looks incredible this season. I have no doubt they will easily cover the spread. Hammer the Tigers in this game.

4) Alabama vs. Ole Miss (+28.5):

A 28.5 point spread for a conference game is insanity. Combine the large spread with the fact Ole Miss quarterback Shea Patterson only needs to make a few plays to keep this thing under 29, and I like the Rebels and the points.

5) Minnesota (-12.5) vs. Maryland:

Maryland is now down to its third string quarterback, and the Gophers are playing well. Take Minnesota. I doubt this game is close.
