Philadelphia Eagles kicker Jake Elliott won’t be pocketing the game check Carson Wentz said he’d give him for the game winning field goal.

Instead, Wentz and Elliott will be donating the check to charity, according to Pro Football Talk.

Pro Football Talk reported in part:

The amount was not specified, but Wentz makes $31,764 a week in salary.

Elliott declined the offer, he told reporters Wednesday, and the two decided on a donation to charity in Elliott’s name.

This is another great example of athletes coming through with a class move while the NFL is in complete turmoil.

Elliott could easily just have taken Wentz’s money and nobody would have blamed him. In fact, I think a lot of people would have said he deserved it. Classy move to rise above, and send the money to people who are in much greater need.

Great job by Wentz and Elliott, great job indeed.
