The weekend is only a couple days away, and that means it’s time for the game of the week.

If you’re only able to watch one game this week, make sure it’s USC against Washington State, which actually occurs on Friday night.

I’m already on the Trojans at -3.5, but I’m interested in this game for much more than just gambling purposes. USC hasn’t got off to the hottest start of the season. However, they’re absolutely loaded all over the field with talent. Quarterback Sam Darnold might be the first pick in the NFL draft, and has a cannon attached to his right shoulder.

They have all the tools necessary to bust out of this slump, and there might not be any better time than under the lights Friday night against Washington State.

Of course, that’s going to be easier said than done if Mike Leach has his way. Leach is one of the smartest minds in all of football. He has been able to win at a much higher level than the talent at WSU on paper would have some believe is possible.

This could be a game for the ages if both teams show up ready to play.
