Steph Curry’s Reaction To The Latest Sports Illustrated Cover Is A Bit Surprising

This week’s Sports Illustrated cover has been released and pretty much nobody is into it.

Who could blame them? It’s pretty much the worst photoshop effort I’ve seen in my entire life and it features a completely unrealistic representation of the sports world. For example, why would anybody choose to link hands with Roger Goddell when he’s basically the most divisive figure in sports.

One of the most vocal critics of the cover is Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry. When he saw this week’s cover on Instagram he commented “booooooooooooooooo.”

And I can see why he wouldn’t be happy. First of all, he’s pictured linking arms with Lebron in the front row. And anybody who follows NBA feuds knows that Steph would never be caught dead showing love for Lebron. Especially after this little diddy surfaced this summer:

Which is, of course, a reference to the Bald Head Nut himself.

So when Steph was asked what he thought about the new cover, he didn’t exactly hold back any opinions.

He calls the entire thing “terrible,” saying it was just “capitalizing on the hoopla and the media and all that nonsense.”

Not to mention that Kaepernick, who started the entire Anthem protest movement, is nowhere to be seen on the cover.

It’s just another classic example of the media rushing to conclusions and forcing politics into sports. It never really works out.
