There is now a GoFundMe account to buy out LSU Tigers coach Ed Orgeron’s contract.

It would currently cost LSU $12 million to buy out their current coach’s contract if that’s the route the school chooses to take, according to multiple reports.

Most universities are not prepared to drop $12 million to buy out a coach. That’s why LSU fan Chad McGehee started the GoFundMe to find the cash.

He wrote the following:

Hello Everyone, I want to clarify something: this is not about Ed Orgeron, the man, whom I’m sure is a very fine person. This is about a Coach that has failed to live up to what he promised us — and, more importantly, the AD who hired him.

If you watch the games, this team has no fight and no enthusiasm — and that is the opposite of what Coach O committed. There is no amount of time or youth that explains his complete lack of emotion on the sidelines.

I can forgive the early season penalties, the regressing defensive, the mind boggling offense, the lack of special teams coaching, etc … BUT, when you bill yourself as the high energy, master motivator, you can not forgive what he displays during the games.

Like I said, I like Coach, I wish him the best, but he clearly isn’t having fun, not like last year… let’s save him from himself. Pay the man and let him move on. It’s clear his dream job isn’t what he thought it would be.

Help spread the word!

He’s raised less than $300 so far, but everybody has to start somewhere. Upset college football fans starting GoFundMe pages is one of the best things in all of sports. I have a very strong feeling most of this money is going to end buying lots of beer, which LSU fans need to numb all the pain of their awful team.
