The Florida Gators hosted the LSU Tigers on Saturday in Gainesville, Florida on Sunday, and while the game was close the best part of the day had nothing to do with football.
During a timeout “I Won’t Back Down” played on the speakers and everyone in the stadium joined in to sing the popular Tom Petty song in tribute to the late singer.

Petty passed away earlier in the week after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu. He died on October 2, surrounded by family and friends.

The rock and roll legend’s death came as a complete shock to the music world and his millions of fans. Tributes have been pouring in over the past few days, but this one from Florida might be the most touching one yet.
