Season eight of “Game of Thrones’ will be delayed so the cast can attend Kit Harington’s wedding to former star member Rose Leslie.

The Radio Times reported the following on the decision to shut down production for the wedding:

The wedding between the two stars – who played Jon Snow and his tragic lover, the Wildling Ygritte – will be attended by many of the cast members, said Harington, meaning it could pose a problem for the producer who is in charge of scheduling.

“I rang him up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually’,” Harington tells the Jonathan Ross Show on Saturday.

“I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way.’ They [the cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down.”

I am so not OK with this move. It’s cool that Harington and Leslie are getting married, but the happiness of million of fans is at stake here.

We already have to wait an insanely long time, and now we have to wait longer over a wedding? Did the idea of having the wedding after production wrapped up ever get floated to these two? “Game of Thrones” fans are some of the most rabid, dedicated and loyal followers in all of the entertainment world. I guess that’s just not enough to bump the wedding back a little bit.

Disappointing move from Jon Snow, who is supposed to be the selfless leader of men.
