It’s Thursday – and it’s time to break down my game of the week for college football.

If you’re only able to catch one game this weekend, I’d really suggest you check out Oklahoma’s matchup with Texas.

Oklahoma is coming off of a huge upset loss to Iowa State, and it’ll be interesting to see how the Sooners respond. Quarterback Baker Mayfield has spent a lot of time running his mouth and doing really dumb things, like planting a flat at in the middle of Ohio State’s field after a win.

He’s also played very well on the field, which gives him some amount of room to pull those stunts. However, he’s now got a loss on the books, and that changes everything. No more time for showboating and distractions if he still wants a shot at the playoffs.

Texas appears to be headed in the right direction under Tom Herman. They’re 3-2, and two of those wins came against Big 12 opponents. You’re crazy if you think the Longhorns are going to rollover and die just because Oklahoma is more talented. Herman will have his guys ready for a bruising fight.

A win for Oklahoma would be a sign they’ve bounced back, and a win for Texas would be an announcement to the football world they may officially be back.

Tune in 3:30 EST on ESPN to find out what happens.
