Ohio State football coach Urban Meyer’s wife Shelley made it clear Sunday that she is not a Colin Kaepernick fan.
“What-ever. He made his choices,” Shelley tweeted in response to an article about Kaepernick filing a grievance against the NFL. She later deleted the tweet.

She didn’t stop there. The wife of a college football coaching legend also said she’d rather have Tim Tebow than Kaepernick.
A millions times. No comparison at all!!

It probably shouldn’t be too surprising she’s pro-Tebow. Tebow won a Heisman and a national championship while playing for her husband at the University of Florida.
I’ve always been against wives and girlfriends of players and coaches speaking out on issues that might impact their significant other’s job. She might not even realize it, but being anti-Kaepernick could have an impact on some recruits.
Mrs. Meyer later apologized for the initial tweet.
“Dear twitter-I apologize for an earlier tweet that has had content injected by others that that has nothing to do w my tweet,” she wrote Monday. “It was referring to behaviors/choices by any human, owning those choices, and the possible consequences that may follow. The end.”
