A Twitter feed launched by President Trump’s former communications director Anthony Scaramucci asked users to vote on the number of Holocaust victims Tuesday morning.

Scaramucci’s account “ScaramucciPost” asked its followers, “How many Jews were killed in the Holocaust?”

I hate to say a guy who was once the White House communications director should know better, but he absolutely should.

I’m all for embracing debate. However, I’m not sure debating the number of Holocaust victims is a wise idea. There will absolutely be people who try to spin this as some kind of Holocaust denial or conspiracy theory.

It’s also just plainly stupid. It’d be just as dumb as asking, “Did the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor?” or asking whether or not the United States actually dropped two atomic bombs on Japan.

Scaramucci claims he didn’t send the tweet, and that somebody else did without his knowledge.

If you’re name is on the account, the responsibility ultimately falls on you. Not a great look.
