Justin Timberlake will perform during the halftime show at Super Bowl LII next February, and he has promised there will be no “wardrobe malfunctions” this time.

In an interview Sunday during “Sunday Night Football,” the 36-year-old singer confirmed that he would be taking the big stage once again, 13 years after he performed alongside Janet Jackson. During that performance, he ripped off part of her outfit and exposed Jackson’s nipple in what she later termed a “wardrobe malfunction.”(RELATED: 66 Percent Of Trump Voters Change The Channel When Awards Shows Get Too Political)

“That won’t happen this time. There was a little bit of that,” Timberlake confirmed to NBC’s Mike Tirico when asked if there was any conversation between him and the NFL that touched on what happened with Jackson’s wardrobe mishap. “But…no, Mike, that’s not going to happen.”

The “Can’t Stop The Feeling” singer said fans shouldn’t expect any high-flying stunts when he takes the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota next year, hoping to follow in the veins of U2, Michael Jackson and Bruce Springsteen’s performances with a unifying message.

“What I want to do is take the opportunity to put together a performance that feels like it unifies. I feel like that would be the ultimate accomplishment,” Timberlake explained. “The icing on the cake is at some point within that 12 minutes that everybody is shaking their booty.”

“This will be JT’s third time performing on the Super Bowl Halftime stage, giving him the distinction of having the most appearances by an individual entertainer,” a statement on the singer’s website read. “He previously performed at Super Bowls XXXV and XXXVII.”
