Danny McBride might be the most underrated actor of my generation.

Lots of people know McBride is a famous actor, but I don’t think people realize the level of talent this guy possesses. He portrayed one of the greatest characters in the history of television when he was Kenny Powers in “Eastbound and Down.”

His presence on the screen as the disgraced baseball player couldn’t have been done by anybody else. That show had a great cast around him, but make no mistake. McBride brought that show to the level of legendary status.

McBride will mostly be remembered for “Eastbound and Down.” That’s an accomplishment most actors and actresses would kill for. However, it’s a shame people won’t remember McBride’s other accomplishments.

He had a reasonably big role in “Tropic Thunder,” and managed to steal the scene every time he was on the screen.

And nobody could forget his appearance in “This is the End.” I had tears in his eyes when I watched that movie.

The problem for lots of fans is that “Eastbound and Down” was so good that people have overlooked everything else he’s done. This has led me to the conclusion that Danny McBride is unfortunately one of the most underrated actors I’ve ever seen.
