It’s been 24 hours since I speculated Taylor Swift’s new song “Gorgeous” was about myself, and it’s been complete silence from her camp about it ever since.

I’m a humble guy. I don’t assume much about people, I keep my head down, I just try my best to generate the best content on the internet for all the loyal readers but I’m also kind of good at playing detective.

I knew something was up the first moment I listened to “Gorgeous.” The lyrics about a guy whose dashing good looks and sexy blue eyes had my head spinning. Had I finally hit so big that Taylor Swift, America’s sweetheart, was no signing about my eyes? The question had to be asked about whether or not “Gorgeous” was indeed about myself. Of course, there’s no way for me to know for sure, but I was voted as having the sexiest eyes in my high school senior year. So, I think there’s at least a little bit of evidence to suggest I am the blue-eyed stunner Swift describes.

I was never the best at throwing a football, the most athletic guy on the basketball team or really any good at golfing. However, there has never been any question about whether or not my blue eyes are elite. Elite enough to inspire America’s biggest musical star?

What has Swift’s response been to my observation? Absolutely nothing in regards to who inspired the song. Her social media has gone pretty much silent, other than the release of some short videos hyping her “…Ready for it?” music video.

Again, I don’t know for sure if it’s about me or not. I do think it’s a question worth asking, and I’ll continue to ask the question until somebody points me in the direction of somebody with better blue eyes than myself. The ball continues to be in Swift’s court until we get some answers on the question everybody is asking.

What a wild time to be alive.
