College of the Ozarks in Missouri is introducing a class aimed at promoting patriotism.

Bloomberg brought the following details:

An evangelical Christian college in Missouri is now requiring freshman to take a class aimed at encouraging patriotism.

The College of the Ozarks has unveiled a military science class called Patriotic Education and Fitness. The course aims to educate students on modern military customs, U.S. politics and flag protocol and procedures. It will also teach rifle marksmanship, map reading, land navigation and rope knotting.

Is it too late to enroll? This sounds cooler than any class I ever took at the University of Wisconsin. My classes were mostly full of losers who would urinate in their pants at the sight of a loaded firearm. Now, College of the Ozarks, which is nearly free to attend due to work requirements for students, is going to be teaching students how to use rifles.

The only major suggestion I can think of is that we’d have to throw a little beer in the mix somewhere. Can’t be teaching Patriotic Education and Fitness to a bunch of students who are sober around the clock. Besides, the gun range is going to get a lot more fun after a case of Miller Lite.

Well done to everybody involved in this incredible decision. I absolutely love it.
