Legendary boxing commentator Jim Lampley thinks Floyd Mayweather allowed Conor McGregor to win a few rounds during their famous boxing match.

McGregor lost in the tenth round to Floyd Mayweather during their August 26 bout, but Lampley thinks it wasn’t nearly as close as viewers think.

He told TMZ Sports the following:

He created a marvelous scam with this whole thing. He allowed Conor to quote ‘win’ 3 rounds so that the whole global MMA wish community could have something to latch on to. I think there’s a decent chance there’s enough suckers out there Floyd could maybe make another $150 million, why not?

Honestly, I don’t even care if Mayweather threw some rounds or not. Makes literally no difference to the vast majority of the people who watched the fight. Everybody tuned in so that we could watch a UFC guy fight a boxer. It was that simple.

A bunch of buddies and myself all went over to a coworkers house, drank a ton of beer, had some food and partied all night for the fight. That’s what it was all about. I’m totally fine with him throwing a couple rounds if it means we get a rematch.
