A video has surfaced online showing a man in a Washington Redskins jersey dropping a Philadelphia Eagles fan with a single punch to the face.

The Eagles and the Redskins played Monday night, but the video didn’t start circulating until late Tuesday night.

It’s unclear what started the altercation, but there’s no mystery as to what ended it. The Redskins fan channeled his inner George Foreman, and threw a mean right hook to the Eagles fan. He was the on the ground seconds later.

I’ve said this before, but apparently I need too say it again. There is next to no reason to ever be fighting at a sporting event. Unless the stadium is under attack from Al-Qaeda, I can’t find a whole lot of excuses to justify brawling in the stands.

People are there to have a few beers, hang out and not get punched. There were exactly zero punches thrown in my area during the last college football game I went to, and that’s how it should be. Lots of people find this stuff funny and entertaining. I have no idea why because it totally ruins the atmosphere. Just unacceptable all the way around.
