An insane weekend of college football is behind us, and it’s time to break down all the action.

Here are my four biggest takeaways from all the action on Saturday.

1) Georgia is making its case as the best team in America.

The Bulldogs are absolutely rolling their opponents, and the trend didn’t stop Saturday. Georgia blew out Florida. It was so bad that the refs just should have mercy ruled the Gators. The teams Georgia is playing aren’t great, with the exception of Notre Dame. However, blowing teams out in the fashion they’re doing it is still very impressive. A title game against Alabama should be outstanding.

2) Ohio State and Penn State both looked incredible.

The Buckeyes ended up coming out on top, but the game proved both are legit playoff caliber teams. Is there anybody who could have watched that game and thought different? Only one is likely getting into the playoff, and both are capable of winning the whole thing.

3) Two undefeated teams going down simplifies the playoff picture.

There probably won’t be four undefeated teams at the end of the season, and losing TCU and Penn State from the ranks of the undefeated does simplify some things. There are only five remaining undefeated teams. Georgia and Alabama are both on that list and will likely play in the SEC championship game. That means there will be only four undefeated teams at most. Undefeated teams, except UCF, control their own destinies.

Win out and you’re in. Very possible for Alabama, Georgia, Miami and Wisconsin.

4) Bret Bielema finally gets a win.

Bret Bielema and Arkansas managed to barely beat Ole Miss, who was playing its backup quarterback. Congratulations Bret. I’m sure this win saved your job.
