Tiger Woods has finally announced his return to golf after an extended hiatus from competition.

Like last season Woods is planning to return to competition at the end of November for the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, which benefits his own foundation.

The 14-time major champion has been working towards his return to golf ever since having fusion surgery on his lower-back in April. The 41-year-old golfer ran into one major distraction when he was arrested for a DUI over Memorial Day weekend, but has continued focusing on his return through it all.

“I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge,” Woods said in a statement. “Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field.”

Woods has been teasing his return for months and was finally cleared by his doctor to resume full golf activities just 10 days ago. (RELATED: Tiger Woods Gets Green Light To Return To Golf)

“He’s just been progressing,” Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg told USA Today.

“He’s excited. He feels like he’s ready to play. I’m not sure if he decided today to play. He called a couple of us and said, ‘I’m ready to go. I want to get back and I’m ready to play,'” Steinberg said. “He’s healthy and he’s ready to go.”

Only time will tell if he’s back for good and we’ll just have to wait and see if he can still hang with the best of them.
