Houston Astros player Carlos Correa proposed to his girlfriend Daniella Rodriguez after winning the World Series, and it was an extremely selfish move.
Correa popped the question immediately following the Astros victory in game seven against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Ladies and gentlemen, it doesn’t get much more selfish than this. The Astros are celebrating winning the World Series, people are soaking up what will likely be the greatest moment in their lives, the fans are happy, the lights are shining on the team and Correa has to go steal the spotlight.
The moment was about the whole team, and he successfully made it about himself. Absolutely embarrassing for the whole organization. I don’t know much about Correa, but everybody should be smart enough to realize you don’t steal the spotlight literally moments after the biggest team victory in the organization’s history.
Wait until perhaps the locker room celebration. Or, and I know this is an insane idea, maybe just do it in a private setting surrounded by close friends and family. Why does the whole world’s attention have to be interrupted for Correa’s proposal? We’re here to watch some baseball. Nobody is here to watch one player steal the spotlight. You would never see this selfish and self-centered garbage in the NHL. Just unacceptable all the way around.
Also, Rodriguez is a certified smoke show. Still doesn’t make what Correa did okay.
