UFC president Dana White expects Conor McGregor to fight again at some point in 2017.

“We’re planning on it. He wants to, and we want him to,” White responded when asked by TMZ Sports if McGregor plans to fight in the UFC in 2017.

He also indicated he’d be open to giving McGregor some of the UFC ownership if it meant it’d get McGregor back in the octagon.

WATCH:

McGregor is an absolute beast and a freak of nature when it comes to fighting. He just boxed against Floyd Mayweather at the end of August, and we really shouldn’t be surprised to see him come back to fight quickly. The Irish-born star has never been one to shy away from taking fights when they present themselves.

Adding him to the UFC ownership group is also probably a really smart idea. We all know what McGregor is like when he’s hyping his own fights. It’s pure electricity. He obviously can’t fight forever, but we don’t want to lose that hype game. Getting him in the ownership would pretty much guarantee he continues to hype fights for a very long time, and that’s what the fans need.
