Oakland Raiders offensive lineman Donald Penn appeared to deny reports the team let quarterback Derek Carr get hurt over the national anthem protests.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Brent Grimes’ wife Miko went on the radio early Tuesday morning, and claimed that the Raiders offensive line purposely allowed Carr to get drilled against the Denver Broncos because he doesn’t support the national anthem protests. Penn appeared to respond to those allegations and tweeted, “It’s crazy how people will make up lies and tell a story so false and untrue 2 get them some attention I hope it was worth it all lies.”

We all knew it would only be a matter of time before somebody from the Raiders addressed the rumors, and the only way to ever address something of this nature is to deny it.

We’ll now have to wait and see if anybody else comes out against the rumors engulfing the team.
