The first trailer for the upcoming movie “The Post” was released late Tuesday.

The Hollywood Reporter has the following details on the film:

At a time when journalism is under attack from accusations of “fake news,” the timely movie tells the story of the Washington Post’s first female publisher Kay Graham (Meryl Streep) and its editor Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks) attempts to publish the Pentagon Papers, a political cover-up about the Vietnam War that spanned three decades and four U.S. presidents.

Judging from the trailer, it looks like we might have another Tom Hanks hit on our hands because it looks awesome.

WATCH:

A Steven Spielberg directed historical film starring Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep is almost too good to be true. Add in the fact that I’m a very serious journalist, and there’s no chance I’m not getting a ticket to this film. Just go ahead and charge my credit card this very moment.

The film is scheduled for a national release January 12.
