The Cleveland Cavaliers decided to take the subway after their shootaround at Madison Square Garden Monday morning and after just one ride they’re feeling like normal citizens all-of-a-sudden.

Of course, the entire team rolling through the subway station caught a lot of people’s attention. Even though LeBron and the boys had their hoodies on and tried to keep it low-key, it’s pretty hard to miss a group of 15-plus pro athletes passing by.

In a video posted to Instagram by the NBA you can see LeBron James, J.R. Smith and the rest of the squad heading to the train, and getting a reaction from a few people in the station.

“This is my second time, but it’s my first time getting on in New York,” James explained. “As long as I’m getting on the right damn train that’s all I care about.”

“Get it right, man,” Cavaliers guard J.R. Smith chimed in. “Traveling like a real citizen, man.”

Smith used to play in New York, so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he’s ridden the subway more than twice, like LeBron. Still, hopping on the subway every now and then doesn’t make you a “real citizen, man.”

I can think of a couple million reasons why you’re not a real citizen. Try riding the subway twice a day for a couple years and then we’ll talk.
