New odds have been released for Jon Gruden’s chances of becoming the Tennessee football coach since Butch Jones got fired over the weekend.

Gruden actually dropped from +150 to +180. That means a bettor will earn $180 for ever $100 wagered on the Super Bowl-winning coach getting hired by the Volunteers. He’s still leading the pack, but there are four coaches close behind.

Mike Norvell is at +250, Dan Mullen is at +450, Chip Kelly is at +500 and Les Miles is also at +500.

It still looks like oddsmakers aren’t banking on Gruden taking this job, but they’re starting to open up avenues for other coaches to slip in. “Grumors” season is less than 72 hours in, and it’s already been a wild ride.

Can’t wait to find out what bettors do if these odds drop into the negative range. Expect the sports world to explode.
