The hit CBS show “SEAL Team” just keeps getting better and better with every passing week, and you should absolutely be watching.

I’m not a huge fan of network television. It’s often way too sanitized and cheesy when it comes to dramas. Gone are the days of “Lost,” “Jericho” and “24.” We’re stuck in a rut of really crummy network TV.

However, “SEAL Team” is really rising above the rest. The concept of the David Boreanaz led show is very simple. Every episode, members of SEAL Team Six complete a mission while overarching plot points play out over the season. So, every week we get to see bad guys get their brains blown out by the good guys, but it’s not overdone.

The show doesn’t rest on simply killing bad guys and chanting pro-American messages. It actually deals with some very dark issues, such as PTSD, death of teammates and family issues effecting the team members.

In the last episode, a Green Team member is put through severe SERE training. He is brutally beaten, physically and mentally tortured and brought right to the point of death. It was tough to watch as he was abused in a training exercise. These scenes are pivotal because it separates “SEAL Team” from just a run of the mill action show.

Viewers are actually disgusted at parts, moved by the trauma of characters and invested in the outcome. “SEAL Team” is the only network show I watch these days, and all of you should be too.
