Two Georgia Tech football players got into a scuffle this year and settled it like men: with a fistfight behind closed doors in the locker room, with the cameras rolling the whole time.
TMZ obtained the footage and released it Tuesday. They believe the incident happened this past spring, before college football season.
In the video, senior defensive backs Step Durham and Lance Austin exchange a couple of words before Step absolutely lays Lance out. There’s some salty language in here, so consider yourself warned.
That right hook is textbook. It’s the kind of thing you see in movies. Except this isn’t a movie. It’s preseason beef and probably not the kind of thing a coach wants to see surfacing out of his program.
Regarding the footage, Georgia Tech’s football program told TMZ, “Georgia Tech’s football coaching staff became aware of the incident between teammates and friends shortly after it occurred. Discipline was handled internally.”
It’s not immediately clear what the boys’ punishment was because neither missed any playing time this year. Georgia Tech finished with a 5-6 record this season.
