Former Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Erik Ainge told Lane Kiffin that he doesn’t want him to return to coach Tennessee.
Ainge posted a screenshot of the weird exchange on Twitter. He didn’t share the full context, but the bottom line is that he told Kiffin, “I don’t want you to Coach here. Good luck.”
After Ainge tells him he can go “anywhere else,” Kiffin responds by asking if Ainge’s child has his phone.
The whole thing is just bizarre.
I don’t want him. He doesn’t want to be back here either. Kiffin is not the answer. I promise. See our convo. No. Thanks. Lane. pic.twitter.com/HLjYDQ13s4

Did Ainge really think sharing this screenshot would make him look like the smart one in this situation? He looks like a complete clown, and Kiffin looks like a guy brushing him off. The lack of common sense some people have on social media is mind-boggling.
Kiffin has been dominating Twitter lately with nonstop trolling of Alabama and Tennessee. I’m sure that has to be part of the reason why Ainge isn’t happy with the current FAU coach. That’s still not an excuse for posting this on Twitter.
I have to say, there’s no doubt Kiffin comes out looking like the better man in this situation. Ainge comes off looking like an idiot.
