Nearly 10,000 people have signed a Change.org petition to get Lane Kiffin back as the head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers.

“Tennessee football has become a national laughingstock and it needs a savior. Lane Kiffin is that savior. Bring him home. Let him finish what he started,” petition creator Cody McClure wrote in the description.

The reasons for why people signed this thing are incredible. Here are a few of the best:

Our football team is a** and needs lane to bring us to the promised land.

He is divorced now and can live in his office and focus solely on UT football. Hope they haven’t taken up the orange carpet out he had installed, throw a white bear rug on that baby and he will never go home to sleep.

Probably our best option on paper. It’s time to put emotions aside and do what’s best for the program.

Kiffin has served his sentence. Let’s bring him back to the Hill to complete his penance at the scene of the crime.

I’m signing because even though this isn’t ideal it’s a HELL OF A LOT BETTER than some mediocre coach from Raleigh.

Tennessee has been mediocre for 10 years!!! I’m 40 now and want to see some winning football!! Quit hiring the damn Butch 2.0’s!!!!

This is almost certainly not going to happen, but it might blow up the world of college football if it did. I’m all aboard the train for Kiffin to return to the Volunteers. We could always use some more entertainment in college football.
