ESPN commentator Dan Dakich had a great quote about the drinking culture of Wisconsin football fans ahead of the Big Ten championship.
“Wisconsin fans are about to drink all the beer in Indy,” Dakich said during a Friday broadcast.

He then followed up on Twitter to clarify that he meant this as a compliment, as if anybody didn’t already know.

Oh, I can’t even begin to tell you how true this is. I actually feel bad for Indianapolis bars. They have no idea what is about to hit them. Sure, they’re about to cash in big time, but they’re also about to get hit by a Midwestern hurricane of epic proportions.
I hate to brag, but the fact of the matter is that Wisconsin men and women are genetically engineered to pound beer. Some of us were born to be college professors, doctors, lawyers — and some of us were born to watch football and pound Miller Lite.
Kenny Powers probably has the best words to describe the Wisconsin mentality.
