The bowl games are set, the regular season is over, conference championships have been played and the college football season has been awesome so far.

College football is something that represents what is amazing about America. It’s something the rest of the world wishes they could have, but never will. Young men take the field to play for their schools, fans get amped up and all hell breaks loose on a routine basis.

That’s what football is all about. That’s what winning is all about.

This season has not disappointed me one bit, and I’ve loved every single second of it. Did the Badgers make the playoffs? Unfortunately they didn’t, but that doesn’t mean they’re 12-1 season wasn’t awesome.

We also got to see UCF go from one of the worst teams in America to now being undefeated. Tennessee’s coaching search has become the funniest and most embarrassing thing in recent sports memory, and so many more insane things happened. For example, how did Ohio State not make the playoff over Alabama? Pure propaganda got the Crimson Tide in. Shameful and insane.

There are problems in America right now, but college football certainly isn’t one of them. College football is everything that’s right with this beautiful country. Hopefully the bowl games don’t disappoint, and maybe even Clemson can repeat as champions. That’d be something to watch.

I’ll leave all of you with one of the greatest speeches in the history of sports movies.
