The Olympic gold medalist and Houston native will join the cheerleading team on the sidelines for the game against the San Francisco 49ers at NRG Stadium, according to Click 2 Houston.

Like her fellow Houston icons, Biles is beloved by the local community and given her profession it makes sense that the gymnast would be the first ever honorary cheerleader for the squad.

Biles was an integral part of the gold medal-winning squad known as the “Final Five” at the 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro. Since then, Simone has been taking a break from training and just recently got back in the gym. In a recent interview with USA Today, Biles joked that she was so sore after the first few days she should have just retired.

Of course, she was joking, Or at least we hope she was. In any case she’ll be rocking a pair of red boots along with the other Houston Texans cheerleaders this coming Sunday.
