Every year people across America celebrate the repeal of the 18th Amendment, which banned alcohol across the United States.
The idea of prohibition itself is un-American and never should have happened in the first place. Luckily, the leaders of this great country eventually came to their senses and repealed the ridiculous practice with the 21st Amendment after 13 years of no beer and alcohol.
94 years later, here we are drinking beer, hard liquor and whatever suits your fancy in a free America.
If you haven’t done so already, take a minute to appreciate that freedom on this glorious day with a nice cold beer. And if you work at one of those offices that prohibits you from drinking until five o’ clock rolls around — nerds — you can celebrate a little early with these badass beer commercials to help get you through the day.
Raise a glass and be thankful that you live in a country where you can drink whatever you want. But remember to do it responsibly, as they say.
