Terry Crews Takes Legal Action Against His Alleged Sexual Assailant

Terry Crews is taking legal action against WME agent Adam Venit, who he claims sexually assaulted him at a party in February of 2016.

The 49-year-old actor came forward with the allegations in October following the bombshell reports that brought Harvey Weinstein down. However, it wasn’t until now that Crews filed legal documents against his alleged assailant.

Crews originally detailed the alleged incident in a series of tweets, but didn’t reveal the name of the man who groped his privates. The actor did note that he wanted to “kick his a** right then,” but reconsidered saying that nobody would have believed him and he would have ended up in jail. Crews filed a police report regarding the alleged incident last month. Earlier this week the actor filed legal documents against seeking damages from both Venit and his employer, WME, for a number of charges, E! News reports.

Venit was suspended for a 30-day period while WME conducted an internal investigation into the matter. He has now returned to work.

The “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” star is seeking damages for assault, battery, sexual battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and negligent retention and supervision.
