Taylor Swift wrote one of the most moving poems I’ve ever heard in my life, and the internet bullies are out in spades.
Swift wrote the poem for Variety, and it states in part:
They don’t tell you this when you are young
You can’t hold on to everything
Can’t show up for everyone
You pick your poison
Or your cure
Phone numbers you know by heart
And the ones you don’t answer any moreHold on to the faint recognition in
the eye of a stranger
As it catches you in its lustrous net
How quickly we become intertwined

I woke up today hoping to cruise through this Friday so that I could pound a few beers this weekend. Now I’m over here putting on my armor, picking up my shield, grabbing my sword and preparing for war. There is never a reason to attack America’s sweetheart. I’m am furious right now. What isn’t to love about this poem? It’s like an emotional rollercoaster. I literally saw my whole life flash before my eyes while reading it. Turns out my dream of marrying a supermodel does come true. Swift’s poem allowed me visual this. Props to her.
Here’s the reality. Swift is the closest thing we have to royalty in this country, and I will not allow her honor to get trashed by a bunch of internet punks. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. People just hate success. They lash out at it and attempt to drag it back down into the pit of despair.
However, Swift shouldn’t fear because I’m on the case. I’m mobilizing the defense units, figuring out logistics and ready to fight a long and tough war to defend America’s sweetheart.
I didn’t wake up today thinking I’d be a hero, but here we are. What a wild life.
