Boxer Stephen Smith suffered a brutal injury during a recent boxing match.
Smith’s ear got split in half after taking a headbutt from Francisco Vargas in the ninth round, according to Busted Coverage.
Smith later went on Twitter and told people he went to the hospital to get his ear stitched back together.
“Thanks very much for all your supportive messages last night, read them all and they mean a lot. Went to hospital and got my ear stitched back up so hopefully all will heal well. Thanks again for all the love and support. Have a good Christmas everyone x,” he told his fans.

I don’t know about you guys, but that’s one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen. Absolutely disgusting. There’s no other way to describe it. That video is just horrifying.
The amount of pain a person must experience when their ear gets cut in half is mind-boggling. The fact Smith just kind of stood around like it was no big deal is also impressive as hell. I’d be begging for an ambulance to get me out of that ring as quickly as possible. There’s no doubt Smith is way tougher than I am.
