The Golden Globe nominations were released Monday, and “Wind River” didn’t get a single nomination.

“Wind River” was the movie of the year. It was nothing short of spectacular. I sat on the edge of the seat the entire movie as Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olsen hunted for the sadistic killers of a young Native American woman.

How does this not score a single nomination? “Wind River” not getting any nominations is borderline criminal. Best director? Nope. Best Picture? Nope. Best performance by an actor in a drama? Nope.

I don’t know who is putting these nominations together, but I’d love to sit down with them for a long talk about how stupid they are.

This movie had everything you could ever want in a gritty drama. It was dark, it had twists and turns, it had brutally tormented characters, it was shockingly real and it shed a light on a real problem nobody wants to talk about. I used to live in Montana, and “Wind River” is one of the most realistic Western films I’ve seen in my life.

This is just a shameful and sad day for the entertainment world. There is no justification or excuse for leaving them off the nominations list for every single aware.

P.S.: Do not watch this video if you haven’t seen the movie yet, but I nearly jumped out of my seat during this part.
