The rescinded contract Tennessee offered Ohio State defensive coordinator Greg Schiano was recently released, and it was for a whole lot of money.
The entire deal would have been worth $27 million, according to 247 Sports. The Volunteers eventually rescinded the contract after massive outrage from fans, and are arguing that the contract is void because not everybody signed it before the Vols administrators bolted.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell tweeted out a picture of the full Memorandum of Understanding that was signed by Schiano.
Here’s the memorandum of understanding between Greg Schiano and the University of Tennessee.
School says it wasn’t fully signed, so Schiano isn’t owed anything.

This has lawsuit written all over. Schiano hasn’t indicated whether or not he plans to sue on the grounds this deal was set to go, but 247 Sports points out that he’d be owed 75 percent of the deal if it’s ruled this contract constituted being hired.
That’s a lot of money on the table to not at least consider suing. It’s amazing how quickly this Tennessee coaching search became an absolute circus. It’s embarrassing for the school, university officials and everybody else involved. No other way to describe this disaster.
