The ranking is determined from the three major movies he made that were released before June 1, 2017. The list doesn’t include “Transformers: The Last Knight” and the holiday-themed sequel to “Daddy’s Home.”

According to the report, for every one dollar that the “Shooter” star was paid for his three big movies, the films earned $4.40.

Taking second place was Christian Bale for the lackluster performance of his movie “The Promise.” For every one dollar he was paid, his movies earned $6.70.

Rounding out third place for the most overpaid actor of 2017 was “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum, followed by Denzel Washington and then Brad Pitt.

In 2016, it was Johnny Depp who Forbes named as the most overpaid actor after he earned for his three major films $2.80 at the box office for every one dollar he was paid.  Depp also took home the title in 2015.
