United States Air Force veteran Ron Villemaire is a huge “Star Wars” fan, but due to his medical condition he thought he would never live to see “The Last Jedi.” Thanks to local fire departments and some medics, that will not be the case.

Villemaire is in hospice care with stage 4 colon cancer, preventing him from being able to attend a movie theater to watch the newest “Star Wars” installment, according to the Associated Press. However, after his daughter made a public plea to make her father’s dying wish come true, the Bedford and New Boston fire departments in New Jersey are joining together to make it happen.

The two fire departments are planning to transport Villemaire to a theater in an ambulance and wheel him inside on a hospital bed on Saturday. Of course, the operation would not be possible if it weren’t for the medics that will be by the 69-year-old veteran’s side throughout the process.

Villemaire will be greeted by a group of people to thank him for his service on the way into the theater and will get to watch “The Last Jedi” on the big screen with family and friends against all odds.
