“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” cashed in an incredible amount of money for the Friday box office.

The Hollywood Reporter had the following update on the film’s box office domination:

Disney and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi is headed for a massive $215 million-plus North American launch after delivering $104.8 million on Friday

So far, Last Jedi is trailing only one film —  Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which nabbed $119 million on its first Friday for a record domestic launch of $247.9 million on the same weekend in 2016. No other film besides these two have ever crossed $100 million in a single day.

I think it’s safe to say my prediction that this movie would absolutely crush is coming true. It’s such a dominating performance that it might be time to cancel the rest of the movies currently out. The people who made those movies have families, and the box office massacre is borderline cruel at this point.

I’d also like to point out that anybody who says this movie sucks makes no sense to me. This movie was every inch of incredible.

The next movie can’t get here fast enough.
