Washington Redskins safety Su’a Cravens was pulled over for speeding towards the end of November and is now claiming that he was racially profiled by police and is threatening to sue.

Cravens posted two videos taken at the time of the November 29 incident to Twitter on Monday in which he makes claims a Loudoun County police officer who pulled him over, pushed him up against the car and cuffed him while police searched the vehicle.

“This is footage once I was released from squad car and was ALLOWED to reach for my phone,” Cravens said in the tweet. “Please excuse my language. I promise my parents raised an intelligent and respectful young man. But this bullsh*t the reason why people dying and athletes taking knees! Stop ignoring it.”

Cravens made a number of claims in the two video clips, but he mostly accused the officer who pulled him over and the other police officers involved in the incident of racial profiling.

“Bro just wanted to pull somebody over, cause what? I’m black, I got tattoos on my neck, I’m out here in a nice car. He said I’m going 39 in a 35 . . . What bro?,” Cravens says in one of the videos. “This sh*t is amazing. It’s really happening right now. I can’t wait to put this man on Twitter so yall can blast this man, bro. I’m gonna sue the sh*t out this man. Racial profiling a** man. Sh*t is ridiculous. In this day and age we’re still doing this sh*t. No reason to pull me over.”

In a statement to The Washington Post, a spokesman for the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office claimed Cravens was pulled over for speeding in a school zone and cited for having an illegal tint on his car windows.

“This traffic stop was not a case of racial profiling,” the statement said. “Additionally, the LCSO has not received any formal complaints regarding this matter and it would be inappropriate to comment further regarding any allegations and involving a pending court case.”
