The ongoing disagreement between Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Tom Brady’s wellness coach Alex Guerrero is heating up.

Alex Guerrerro is the man behind the TB12 method, wellness center and the newly released paid app. He prefers to be called Tom Brady’s ‘guru’ and has privately been at odds with Belichick for years. In 2015, the Patriots training personnel took issue with Guerrero’s increasing presence and holistic approach to wellness, eventually lobbying to kick him off the Pats’ squad entirely.

But Belichick has remained relatively quiet about the matter until now. Before, both Belichick and Pats owner Robert Kraft overlooked Guerrero’s less than stellar past. He’s been allowed to treat other players, like Gronkowski and Edelman, and had a personal office close to the Pats locker room.

But according to a report by The Boston Globe this week, most of Guerrero’s team privileges were recently revoked. Guerrero will no longer be allowed on the sidelines and he can’t travel on the team jet.

The report claims Belichick made the command decision weeks ago, however it’s “created some friction” going forward.

Brady dug in with his support for Guerrero earlier, telling WEEI that he largely attributes his success and longevity to his guru. “Alex has been a huge, huge reason why I’m still playing,” he said. He also told the station that “Alex, it’s been well-documented, has been a huge part of what I do and I’m so fortunate to have him not only as a friend, but with everything that we’ve been able to do together.”

It’s pretty tough to argue with that. When recently asked about the rumored disagreement, Belichick told WEEI, “Yeah, I’m not going to get into that.”
