Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff decided to buy his offensive line some booze and Yeti coolers for Christmas.
Rams lineman Jamon Brown posted a video of the coolers and booze sitting in the locker room on Instagram.
He wrote the following caption:
I want to thank my man @jaredgoff for the Christmas gift! I can’t say how much being able to watch you grow and mature as a player and person has really helped me and has been amazing to be apart of! I am ready to use the gift you got us man and so excited for what the futures holds for us! Thanks Goff!! #QB&OLBond #WeTheProtecters
I like the sentiment here with the gifts. Everybody needs a cooler and some booze from time to time, but I’m not sure handing your offensive line alcohol is a great idea. I want my linemen in perfect shape. Alcohol is kind of the exact opposite thing you need to get in shape.
Obviously, I don’t think the Rams players are getting wasted before practice. It still might not be the greatest idea. On the other hand, the coolers are as great as they come. As a quarterback, you also want to keep your line happy. If you don’t there might be some motivation to let a linebacker slip through and crush you.
Luckily, it looks like Goff did a good enough job here to keep the morale high.
