Mark Hamill made it clear in a recent interview that he’s not a fan of how Luke Skywalker was portrayed in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi.”

“I said to Rian, I said ‘Jedis don’t give up.’ I mean, even if he had a problem, he would maybe take a year to try and regroup, but if he made a mistake he would try and right that wrong, so right there, we had a fundamental difference, but, it’s not my story anymore. It’s somebody else’s story, and Rian needed me to be a certain way to make the ending effective,” Hamill said in an interview posted by YouTube user JarJar Abrams.

Hamill added that he had to stop thinking of Luke Skywalker as the original version, and instead had think of the character as somebody completely new.

Well, this isn’t a great sign. Never a great thing when the most famous man in the franchise starts criticizing it. That’s a fast track to absolutely nowhere.

Am I the only person on the planet who actually liked this movie? I thought it was awesome, but maybe I’m just blinded by my biases towards the series. It’s sad to see so many people, including the star of the movies, not appear to be pleased with it.
