Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Baker Mayfield made a Rose Bowl media appearance Saturday, and he doesn’t look great.
Mayfield has been staying low while battling an illness ahead of the game against Georgia. I’m not a doctor, but he didn’t sound or look great while talking with the media today.
Although, he did promise people he wasn’t dying.

This is setting up to be an epic game if Mayfield defeats Georgia while battling a sickness. It’d be one of the coolest storylines we’ve seen from the college football playoff since it was created.
Mayfield silencing his critics while sick would be so Baker Mayfield that it hurts, but I love even the idea of it.
I’m also not overly pleased with this because I bet on Oklahoma to win the whole thing the day the playoff field was announced. I most certainly wouldn’t have done that if Mayfield wasn’t going to be at 100 percent. Now I have to sit around and wait to see what fate holds.
