“Jumaji: Welcome to the Jungle” is enjoying a lot of success at the box office.

The Hollywood Reporter reported the following:

Sony’s holiday hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle isn’t far behind The Last Jedi this weekend. The reboot grossed $50.6 million domestically from 3,765 locations for the three days for a projected four-day haul of $67 million. Jumanji should finish the weekend with a domestic tally of $186.3 million or more.

Internationally, Welcome the Jungle also impressed, earning $67 million from 50 markets for a foreign total of $153 million and global booty of $323 million through Sunday.

I went and saw this movie the other day with the family, and it wasn’t too bad. I actually enjoyed almost all of it. So it’s not overly surprising that it’s doing well at the box office. I’d say it’d be more surprising if it tanked given the fact the cast includes The Rock, Kevin Hart, Nick Jonas and Jack Black. That’s the definition of a power lineup.

Scoring a $323 million haul at the box office is certainly nothing to sneeze at. It might not be exactly “Star Wars” numbers but it’s still very impressive.

I’d suggest giving this one a watch if you’re looking for a few quick laughs at the movie theater.
