Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford might have pulled off the sexiest 2-point conversion in the history of the NFL.
Stafford slipped out of the backfield after a direct snap to the running back during Detroit’s blowout win over the Green Bay Packers.
The running back pitched it to Golden Tate on the reverse, who proceeded to toss Stafford the ball in the end zone.

Ladies and gentlemen, it might not ever get any better than that. Why haven’t they run this play earlier in the season? There’s not a single part of that play that I’m not in love with.
The direct snap, the pitch, the pass and the catch are all awesome.
Also, Golden Tate managed to have his fourth consecutive 1,000 yard season with his numbers today. The Lions might not be going to the playoffs, but this was a pretty solid way to end the year.
