The Alabama Crimson Tide and the Georgia Bulldogs will meet in the college football championship game on January 8.
Georgia defeated Oklahoma in one of the greatest football games we’ve ever seen Monday. The Bulldogs and Sooners battled in the Rose Bowl, and Kirby Smart and company walked out with a win after a touchdown to seal the deal in double overtime.
Baker Mayfield played out his heart, but it just wasn’t enough in the end. I really didn’t want this game to end. It’s a shame we couldn’t have lasted for a dozen overtimes, but Georgia earned the right to play for a title.
Alabama ran all over Clemson, and thoroughly dominated the Tigers to punch their ticket to the finals. It looks like Nick Saban has a very good shot at winning his fifth title with the Crimson Tide.
