These Are The Best Messages I’ve Gotten About College Football In The Past Few Days

I’ve talked a lot of garbage about the SEC this season, and people aren’t quick to forget.

They’re actually very quick to remind me that both spots in the title game are occupied by SEC teams. Look, this back and forth doesn’t bother me at all. I thrive on this banter. It’s like a drug for my system.

So, for the sake of entertainment, fairness and fun, I’ve decided to share the best messages I’ve gotten so far. I’ve earned all the support and criticism. Here we go.

E-mail one:

It’s no surprise that you were triggered by a Georgia player daring to comment to Baker Mayfield about humbleness after Oklahoma’s loss. You’ll get over it. Truth is, Baker Mayfield has been a poster boy for classlessness for a few years now. He loves to go out of his way to antagonize opposing teams, their fans, ESPN staff, and others. He loves to grab his crotch and display other boorish behavior while on the field. Many believe what was said to young Mr Mayfield was long overdue. College football hasn’t had a “star” lack this much class since Johnny Football. Someone, his coaches or parents, should have squared him away long ago… Or maybe he’s the type role model you long for. You have your opinion, others certainly have theirs.

Good day sir

E-mail two:

Been a wild ride so far, thanks for featuring me

I was up all night txting my Auburn, Clemson, UCF and Ohio State buddies

We (Bama) looked like sh*t offensively (what else is new) but I look forward to the game (living in Atlanta has its perks).

I agree with you … SEC is a ghost of its past.

UCF looked great but Scott Frost rides on … I hope UCF and USF continue to grow their programs and become relevant to the Committee in the coming years.

E-mail three (courtesy of our favorite SEC reader):

Read you piece about betting on Clemson & Oklahoma. First betting rule unless it’s the mother of all gut feelings don’t bet on hopes or wishes.

And then there were also plenty of tweets. Some in support, and some rubbing it in my face.

A huge shoutout to everybody who has joined in on the chirping. This is what makes college football so much fun. I love every second of it.
