A Texas A&M sports reporter, who went missing over the weekend, was found unharmed 36 hours later sitting under a Houston overpass on Monday.
The details are still murky, but here’s what we do know.
This all started Saturday afternoon when 29-year-old Courtney Roland was heading home from a trip to Walgreens. She sent a text message to her roommate (who was gone for the day) saying she was being followed by a man in a blue truck.
Roland then told her roommate that as she was pulling into their driveway, the blue truck looped back around and parked behind her. When she got out of her car, the truck sped off. That was the last time the roommate heard from Courtney.
On Sunday, things got even weirder. Roland’s SUV was found in a parking lot of nearby shopping center, with her purse and electronics untouched. Roland’s mother then received a random text from her daughter’s phone saying “hello the owner of this phone Courtney, I am buying an iPad.” That was as far as the conversation would go.
Fast-forward to Monday, thanks to an observant Chick-fil-A customer, Courtney Roland is found seemingly safe and unharmed. That customer had seen the local news reports of the missing woman, and happened to call authorities as she was leaving the restaurant.
Latest: After seeing Ms. Roland’s case in the news this morning, a passerby called us about 8:15am, stating Ms. Roland was under an overpass at the 610 West Loop at Richmond. Our officers arrived, confirmed it was her and arranged she be checked at an area hospital. #HouNews https://t.co/U6xieTLY0U

Houston Police eventually found Roland under a nearby highway. She was then taken to a hospital for evaluation.
